Hunterdon County New Jersey Queries

WILSON
We seek information on James S. Wilson, his wife Hannah (nee Stockton) and their sons Charles and Joseph who resided in Lambertsville in 1860. James S. Wilson was a watchmaker. He also served in the Civil War from NJ. We also seek ancestral information of theirs. James' mother Anna J. Wilson (maiden name unknown) also lived with them. By 1870 they were in Trenton. We believe that James' father was Robert Wilson, born in England and died in NJ or PA prior to 1850. James S. Wilson b: March 23, 1834 in NJ and Hannah Stockton b: September 21, 1836 in New Hope, Bucks County, PA. They married in New Hope May 29, 1856. Sons Charles Wilson b: abt 1857 in NJ and still found with the family in the 1880 census in Trenton and Joseph b: abt 1859 in NJ and only in the 1860 and 1870 censuses. One of them is believed to have drowned. Daughter Mary Ann Stockton (Mellie) Wilson b: April 15, 1878 in Heightstown, Mercer County, NJ. Other children apparently died in childbirth or infancy. Mother Anna J. Wilson (maiden unknown) b: abt. July 1807 in PA with unknown parents also born in PA d: sometime after July 1880, probably in NJ.
