SMITH/LEDGER
Seeking information that would assist me in locating family background from my mother's side of the family (Amanda Morris Smith WALTON) (born in Raven Rock in 1894) and my father, Frank Cox Walton (born in Lumberville, PAacross the river from Raven Rockin 1890). We all lived in Lambertville. Frank died in 1969. Amanda in 1984. My mother's family (SMITH) has been the hardest lineage for me to trace.

Mother's sisters were Bess Smith LEDGER (married to Brad Ledgerstarted up the Ledger Hotel and Bar is south Lambertville) and Elsie Smith (married to Gershun BLACKWELL then to William Holtzhauser) and lived in/around Rosemont. Elsie's sons were Gershun Jr and Robert. Also, other surnames being search on both sides of the family are:
DANIELS,
LEANBERT
COX
MORRIS.

The Morris' side of the family included (so I have been told) Robert MORRIS of Philadelphia and William Morris SMITH (a photographer for Mathew Brady during the Civil War). Other WALTON family forenames include:
Kirk Walton (Oil Company/Supplier in Lambertville), William Walton (moved to Pittsburgh and worked with the Pennsylania RR)their parents names were: Edward/Edwin WALTON and wife Sussana (DANIELS) WALTON (Sussana was previously married to a LEANBERT in/around New Hope, PA.
