The CASE (KASE) family goes back to John Phillip KASE ,who was the first settler in Flemington NJ ,when he arrived there in 1738. He befriended Delaware Indian chief Tuccamirgan ,whom is buried in the KASE family graveyard on Bonnell St. in Flemington. At some time in the 1800`s the spelling was changed to CASE.

My grandmother`s family lived in the CASE farmstead on the northside of Little York- Pattenburg Rd. for over 100 years. It was built of stone by Daniel CASE for his bride Sarah in 1801. Grandmothers parents were Isaac and Rachel (Smith) CASE and her Grandparents were John H and Elizabeth CASE.
