AUMACK/AUMOCK/AUGHMUCK
John AUMICK, was born in New Jersey, about 1776. I believe he was half
Indian, but I don't know what tribe. They may have lived in Tewksbury,
or Potterstown. The AUMICK family later moved to Pennsylvania, and
settled in Eaton Township, Luzerne Co., around 1818 (today Eatonville,
Wyoming Co. PA). Catherine died in 1842, John died in 1852.
At least one of John & Catherine AUMICK�s sons, Abraham AUMICK, was born
in NJ, 1802. Their second son, Peter AUMICK, b. May 22, 1804, NJ or PA.
Other known sons were: Andrew AUMICK, b. 1808, PA; John AUMICK, b. 1811,
PA; and my 3rd great grandfather, Silas AUMICK, b. May 13, 1813, PA.
