HYDE/HIDE
I am looking for information on Rebecca HYDE/HIDE, time period 1770-1820. There were apparently two women named Rebecca Hide/Hyde at that time. One was the daughter of Hanna HIDE, granddaughter of William RETTINGHOUS/RITTENHOUSE. One of these Rebecca HYDE/HIDE 's is my G-G-G Grandmother who married John LAROWE/LARUE, probably around 1798-1799. The other Rebecca HYDE/HIDE married Garret VANSICKLE 8 Jul 1809. The mystery is which Rebecca is it that was the granddaughter of William RITTENHOUSE, and who were the parents of the other Rebecca? It is possible that the two Rebecca's were cousins or something. All of these families had many generations in Hunterdon county, and I hope someone out there can tell me which Rebecca Hide/Hyde is my ancestor.
