HOWELL/SORTORE
I am searching a Stephen HOWELL b. 1784, possibly of Hunderton County. My ancestors always told me that the HOWELLS came from Wales. I noticed in Robert Cameron's query he mentions HOWELLS from Wales. Stephen HOWELL married Esther SORTORE, went to Lycoming county, Pa, then to Yates county, NY and ended up in Rockville,NY in Allegany County. I am hoping that you can help me with the parents of Stephen HOWELL. He may have had a brother William (or cousin) who also ended up in Allegany County, NY. Thank you.
