Immanuel Lutheran Church, Troy (Lansingburg) New York
The congregation was organized 5 February 1874. Rev. A L J Soholm
served as the church's first pastor 1874-1878. He was followed by
Rev
Rasmus Andersen 1878-1883. The first church building was located at
105th St and 4th Ave Troy, New York. The cornerstone for the new church,
located at 510 Seventh Avenue, Troy, New York was laid in 1914 and the
church was dedicated 14 March 1915. About two-thirds of the construction
work was done with volunteer labor of church members. The congregation
merged in 1971 with Prince of Peace Church located at 3rd & 111th St,
Troy, New York.
