The following are photos from "Storefronts & Smokestacks" an exhibit showing the Danish businesses, merchants and industries of Perth Amboy New Jersey in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Funding in part has been provided by the Middlesex County Cultural & Heritage Commission/Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey Historical Commission, a Division of Cultural Affairs in the Department of State.
The exhibit is on display at the Danish Home, 855 New Durham Road, Edison, New Jersey. Visits can be arranged by contacting DANE at 732-287-6445.
