REFERENCES AND LOOK-UP VOLUNTEERS

Guidelines when asking for help from Bergen County Lookup Volunteers

  1. Note: This list of volunteers has not been updated since 2002. Please contact Bergen County Volunteer Coordinator & Webmaster, Denise Wells [contact me by email] immediately if the email address does not work, if you are a volunteer who no longer wishes to offer this service, or if you are a volunteer who is willing to perform a look up in any source relating to Bergen County, NEw Jersey.
  2. To request a lookup for any of the references, click on the address of the look-up volunteer and ask them politely.
    IMPORTANT...Please put
LOOKUP-BERGEN COUNTY in the subject line. This will ensure that your request is not accidentally overlooked or deleted.
  3. Be sure to include the name of book or CD you are requesting the lookup from in your message. Don't forget to sign your email message.
  4. Limit your request to 1 or 2 specific names. For example, do not ask for ALL the marriages on a surname; otherwise, your request will probably be ignored or denied.
  5. Don't forget to say "thank you" to your look-up volunteer for their time and trouble.

With over twenty years experience, it is my good fortune to provide professional family research in connection with New Jersey records, including, but not limited to, vitals, church, cemetery, land, probate, court, etc. Extended services are (1) house history research; (2) problem solving; (3) interviewing a relative or family friend; (4) photographing gravesites; and (5) suggested reading. If you would like to discuss your research and receive an Information/Bio sheet, just let me know. It would be my pleasure to assist you in whatever way possible to try and uncover information regarding that elusive ancestor you've been trying to find for so long. And that's a wonderful way to be good to yourself! Bye for now, Bea. Bio/Information Bea Denman Howley 307 South First Avenue Highland Park, New Jersey 08904 (732) 249-0019
