Elijah Beede (1775-1855)
Elijah Beede was the son, of Nathan
and Dolly (Scribner) Beede. He
was
born in Sandwich,NH on March 29, 1775.
Elijah married Anna Felch,
daughter of
Hannah and Parker
Felch, on September 2, 1802. Elijah
and Hannah had sixteen
children
who were born in the family home. The Beede
family was of the Quaker
following and on
horseback they would attend the services
at the North Sandwich
Quaker Meetinghouse.
Elijah divided his time between farming
and the operation of his mill. Upon his
death on December 12, 1855, William P.
(his son) acquired all the property.
