The mINDEN REGISTER
The Minden Register was the forth newspaper published in the small town of Minden. It was started in March 1890 and lasted only the remaining months of 1890, discontinuing publication in December of that year. It was a competitor for The News Gazette and seems that the Gazette won out. The records from this newspaper are included in the pages with the Gazette and are specified by the leters MR prior to the date of the newspaper. There are not many records for this time period and those not noted with a specific paper, were by accident, not recorded with the paper name.
