MEETINGS: Our society meets at 1:30PM on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, except August and December, in the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library Meeting Room. Dues of $10.00 are collected in May each year. |
OBJECTIVES: a. To provide an organization to serve as a vehicle for all people who have a genuine interest in genealogy. b. To establish a genealogical library for those members and the public. c. To aid individuals in their effort to establish family genealogies. d. To aid individuals to develop the accuracy and accepted principles for genealogical research. e. To aid in historical research and collection and preservation of historical documents. f. To publish an official journal of this Society when such work becomes practical. |

The Society by-laws state that we charge $10.00 for the first hour, $8.00 for any additional hour/s and costs of copying and postage. The first $5.00 goes to the Society with the remainder to the person doing the work. MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE OFFERED If you have a relative in one of the following cemeteries and would like to have flowers placed on the grave please contact me, Jeanie Knudtson, by email at [email protected]. Every year I go to Rushville, Nebraska the week before Memorial Day and could stop at the following towns: Hemmingford, Chadron, Hay Springs, Rushville and Alliance. And of course, our local cemeteries in Scottsbluff, Gering, Bridgeport, Mitchell, Morrill, Minatare, Bayard. Cost: A $10 donation to Rebecca Winters Genealogy Society plus the actual cost of the flower arrangement you order. |
