Arnold passed away in 1984. Ethel passed away May 1, 2007. She was 91 years of age. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Arnold in 1984; son Alan in 1980; sister Fern Troutman and three brothers: Roy, Ray and Charles. Funeral services May 5, 2007 at Liewer Funeral Home in Imperial. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta. Maxine Lucille ELE, of McCook died Monday, May 7, 2007. She was 83 years old. Born on Nov. 10, 1923, at Orleans, Neb., to Delburn Fay and Irene Anna (Ball) Willsey. On May 13, 1943, she married Winfield LeRoy 'Pat' Ele at McCook. To this union four children were born. Preceding her in death were her parents, Delburn and Irene Willsey; and two sisters, Berdeane Jussel Stewart and Verlene Wright. Funeral service May 11, 2007, at Carpenter Breland Chapel. Burial at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta. Lillian T. WHEELER, age 87, of Crescent, Iowa, passed away May 6, 2007 at her home. She was born June 9, 1919, in Greeley, Neb., to the late C. Elmer and Esther (Allinder) Burke. She graduated from Stromsburg High School, Stromsburg, Neb., in 1937. Married Donald Wheeler March 22, 1942. Preceded in death by her son, Wayne Wheeler; husband Donald Wheeler on April 8, 2003; two sisters and one brother. Funeral Service May 10, 2007 at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Helen (Yost) DINNEL was born Oct. 16, 1920, the eighth of 10 children of John and Della (Jones) Yost and passed away on May 11, 2007, at Imperial. She was a teacher. Married to Basil Dinnel on Nov. 12, 1942, at her parents' home in rural Champion. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Basil; her parents, John and Della Yost; five brothers: Kenneth, Alvin, Lloyd, Willard, and Clifford, and three sisters: Edith Rotz, Velma Corder, and Lela Poindexter. Funeral services were held May 15, 2007, at the Crossroads Wesleyan Church, Imperial, Neb. Interment was at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial. Liewer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Nathan Lapp MOHLER was born to Elizabeth and Issac Mohler on Feb. 2, 1914, in a sod house on a homestead near Wauneta, Neb. He died May 16, 2007, in Colorado Springs, Colo. The youngest of five children, his parents, his brothers, Phares and Levi, and his half-sisters, Ethel and Pearl, have preceded him in death. Although he never married he was a loving and involved uncle to his nephew, Robert Mohler, of Ord, Neb., and his four nieces, Lois Okrasinksi, Portland, Ore., Jean Anderson, Centennial, Colo., Laurel Dunn and Ann Mohler, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., who survive him. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, Neb., on June 12, at 10:30 a.m. Liewer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jolene Rose (Priest) HELDENBRAND was born July 20, 1957, to Frank and Marilyn (Rousey) Priest in Columbia, Tenn. Married Rick Helden-brand on Aug. 21, 1976, in the Hamlet Union Church. After a battle with cancer, she passed away at the age of 49 years, 10 months on May 20, 2007. Preceding her in death was her father, Frank Priest; brother, Eldon Priest; grandparents, Orla and Helen Rousey; grandmother Marie Priest; stepfather L.E. Walker and stepbrother Junior Walker. A private family burial service will be held in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Neb. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Hamlet Union Church at Hamlet on May 26, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Carpenter Memorial Chapel of North Platte is in charge of arrangements. Lois Bethel DOW, the daughter of Ethel (Roll) and James P. Ridlen, was born Dec. 10, 1917 near Macedonia, in Pottawattamie Co., Iowa. She died April 25, 2007, in Atkinson, Neb., at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 15 days. Lois grew up in Chase County, Nebraska. On June 10. 1939, married Kenneth Norman Dow at Benkelman, Neb. After her husband's death on Sept. 29, 1979, she moved to Palisade, Neb., where she cared for her father until his death. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; two children, Karen and Gayle Dean; two brothers, Paul and Lee and a great granddaughter. Funeral services were held April 30, 2007 at the Palisade Bible Church, Palisade with Gary Dow and Steve Dow, officiants.
