SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Bernice CHASE, 92, of South Sioux City, formerly of 
Newcastle, Neb., passed away on May 12, 2007, in South Sioux City.
Services at St. Peter Catholic Church in Newcastle, NE. Burial will be 
in Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle. Born on Sept. 19, 1914, in 
Newcastle, Neb., the daughter of Christian and Gail (Parks) Beyeler.
Married to Thomas Chase on Feb. 13, 1933. Preceded in death by her 
husband, Thomas Chase; a son, Thomas Chase Jr.; sisters, Lucile Essy, 
Lena McClary and Emogene Martinsen; and brothers, Sylvester Beyeler 
and Jack Beyeler.

PONCA, Neb. -- Camilla Evaon DOREN, 95, of Ponca died May 13, 2007
in South Sioux City. Arrangements are pending with Mohr Funeral 
Home in Ponca. 

MERIDEN, Iowa -- Danny C. ROSE, 68, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., formerly 
of Meriden, died May 8, 2007, in Mesa, Ariz. Services will be at a later 
date in Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Apache Junction 
Mortuary in Apache Junction, Ariz. Danny C. Rose was born Jan. 12, 1939, 
in Omaha. Married Judith A. Anderson on Sept. 4, 1959. They had three sons, 
James, David and Keith. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 to 1965. 
Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and their husbands, Betty and 
Harry Tyler, Janet and Hershel Rucker and Jill and C.T. Jones; two brothers, 
James and Perry "Bill" Rose; father and mother-in-law, Emil and Alyce 
Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Carol Anderson. 

HARTINGTON, Neb. -- Mary E. LANPHEAR, 67, of Hartington died May 14, 2007
in Sioux Falls, S.D. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Congregational United 
Church of Christ in Hartington. Burial will be in Hartington City Cemetery. 
Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. 

PONCA, Neb. -- Wanda WALSH, 70, of Ponca died May 14, 2007, at a 
Sioux City hospital. Arrangements are pending with Anderson-Perasso 
Funeral Home in Sioux City. 

NEWCASTLE, Neb. -- Darlene K. OLANDER, 76, of Newcastle died May 18, 2007
in Ponca, Neb., following a lengthy illness. Services at St. Peter's Catholic Church 
in Newcastle. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle. Arrangements are under 
the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. 

WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- Sharlien K. WALKER, 66, of rural Winnebago, died 
May 19, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital. Services at River Hills Church in 
South Sioux City. Burial in Omaha Valley Cemetery, rural Homer, Neb. 
Born June 4, 1940, in Walthill, Neb., the daughter of Newill and Thelma 
(Stansberry) Queen. Married Larry G. Walker on Nov. 4, 1958, at 
Assembly of God Church in South Sioux City. Preceded in death by 
her father and an infant sister, Arlene.

LAUREL, Neb. -- Carsten GRAVERHOLT, 84, of Laurel died May 20, 2007.
Services at United Lutheran Church in Laurel. Burial in Laurel Cemetery, 
with military rites conducted. Arrangements are under the direction of 
Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home in Laurel. 

SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- James A. OTT, 75, of South Sioux City died, 
May 24, 2007, shortly after arrival at a Sioux City hospital.
Services at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. A family burial 
service will be at a later date. Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Born June 23, 1931, 
in Uehling, Neb., the son of Arthur "Bill" and Alice I. (Nelson) Ott. Married Peggy A. 
Callaway on March 4, 1951, in Fremont, Neb. 

JACKSON, Neb. -- Anna Lucille HOGH, 92, of Jackson died May 24, 2007
in South Sioux City. Services at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Jackson. 
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Jackson. 

WELLSBURG, Iowa -- Charles A. JANSSEN, 50, of Wellsburg died 
May 22, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Neb. Services 
at St. John Lutheran Church, Wakefield, Neb. Burial will be in the 
Wakefield City Cemetery. Bressler-Munderloh Funeral Home, Wakefield. 

LAUREL, Neb. -- Blanche Sauser BLESS, 96, of Laurel died May 25, 2007.
Services at United Presbyterian Church, Laurel. Burial in the Laurel 
Cemetery. Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Homes, Laurel. 

LAUREL, Neb. -- Kenny TUTTLE, 80, of Laurel died May 26, 2007
at his home in Laurel. Services at United Methodist Church in Laurel. 
Burial will be in Laurel Cemetery. Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral 
Home in Laurel. 

WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- Jerrine Jaqueline BIGFIRE WHITE, 72, of 
Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Winnebago, died May 25, 2007, at 
a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness. Services at the 
Alice Bigfire residence in Winnebago. Arrangements are under 
the direction of Winnebago Wake and Burial Service. Born 
Feb. 16, 1935, in Winnebago, to Hugh and Margaret (Twinn) Bigfire.
Married Leonard Bear in May of 1956. Leonard died in Mar. 2000. 
Preceded in death by a son, Michael Bear; three sisters; 
and a brother.

HARTINGTON, Neb. -- Priscilla G. SHOPE, 94, of Fremont, Neb., 
formerly of Hartington, died May 25, 2007. Services at First 
Congregational United Church of Christ in Hartington. Burial 
in Coleridge Cemetery, Coleridge, Neb. Wintz Funeral Home 
in Hartington. 

OMAHA, Neb. -- Wilfred R. "Bill" IRISH, 75, of Omaha died May 28, 2007.
Services at West Center Chapel in Omaha. Burial in Glade City Cemetery, 
Blandinsville, Ill. Arrangements are under the direction of 
Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler West Center 
Chapel in Omaha. Born in Hancock, Ill. Preceded in death by his 
parents, Lawrence and Rena (Chesser) Irish; a brother; and a sister.

WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- Joanne CORDOVA, 70, began her journey to 
the spirit world May 27, 2007, in Minneapolis surrounded by her 
family and loving husband, Paul Robinson. Services at the HoChunk 
Center in Winnebago. Arrangements are under the direction of 
Winnebago Wake and Burial Program. Cora Bell "Sweetie" Young
was born in Winnebago on Oct. 4, 1936, to Henry and Flora 
(Boyd) Young. Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, 
Vernon Shone; and a son, Millard Young.

WALTHILL, Neb. -- Ralph Edward PRESTON Jr., 69, of Walthill 
died May 29, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital. Services at the 
Alfred Gilpin Building in Macy, Neb. Burial will be in Omaha Tribal 
Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh 
Funeral Home in Pender, Neb. Born Dec. 31, 1937, in Winnebago, Neb., 
to Ralph Edward Preston Sr. and Lucy W. (Cline) Preston. He was an 
alcohol counselor and concluded his working career as a Native 
American Spiritual coordinator for the Nebraska Department of 
Corrections. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr. and 
Lucy Preston; and three brothers, Adrian, Henry 
and Johnny Preston. 

LAUREL, Neb. -- Harold E. CARLSON, 82, of Laurel died May 31, 2007
in Wayne, Neb. Services at Evangelical Free Church in Concord, Neb. 
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Arrangements are under the 
direction of Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home in Laurel.
