On August 27, 1948, she married John T. McGowen. John died in 1958. She married Jack C. Hermsen on Sept. 7, 1974. Also preceded in death by brothers, Warren and Eldo Weishahn; and stepson, Ron Hermsen. Funeral services were May 8, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church, Seward. Interment was at Seward Cemetery. Portia Marsh REEVES, 101, Central City, died April 29, 2007. Born Sept. 26, 1905, to Fred A. and Virginia Ivy (Crites) Marsh in Central City. On Dec. 24, 1929, she married Ted Reeves at her parents' home. Preceded in death by her husband, Ted Reeves, in 1988; sisters, Erma Mesner and Elizabeth Jensen; infant sister, Dorothy Marsh; brothers, Earl, Marion and Warren Marsh; grandsons, Paul Jon Fraser, Daniel John Reeves and Randy Francis; and great-grandson, Elliot Michael Reeves.
