Eloped with Virginia Shane, Nov 21, 1940, to Manhattan, Kan. Enlisted in 
Air Force, Dec 5, 1943 and flew 47 missions as B-24 pilot in the China 
Burma Theatre. Was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Three Air 
Medals, and other citations before his honorable discharge on June 5, 1945.

Natalie (Hickey) Juhnke. The family moved to Columbus in July 1988.

Couple farmed on the Mortimer Ranch in Stanton County for 25 years and in 
1960 they began the Columbian Feed Warehousing and Distributions in Madison.

collecting dolls and glassware and doing crafts. Also did many oil paintings
