YUTAN - Kenneth Lee HALTERMAN, 64, of Yutan, died April 27, 2007 at his home near Yutan. Born Mar 12, 1943, to Jeff and Hazel (Mason) Halterman in rural Cook. Married Dian Reed on June 2, 1962 at the Christian Church in Louisville. His parents, and an infant brother precede him in death. Funeral services: May 1, 2007 at the Reichmuth Funeral Home in Yutan. Interment will be at Hollst Lawn Cemetery near Yutan. MEAD - John E. HEALD, 81, of Mead, died April 26, 2007 in Fremont. Born Sept. 8, 1925, to Richard and Ora (Neff) Heald on the family farm near Mead. Married Margaret Nelson Converse on March 23, 1967. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Benn Heald, sister, Jean Roberts; son-in-law, Gary Dunbar; brother-in-law, Vernon Hawkinson, a great-grandchild and a niece. Memorial service: April 30, 2007 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. PRAGUE - Joseph F. KASPAR, 86, of Prague, died April 29, 2007 at his home in Prague. Born May 8, 1920 to Dr. Joseph F. and Antionette (Jambor) Kaspar in Prague. On Sept. 18, 1940 he married Norma Brabec in Papillion. Joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served as a bomber pilot until the end of the war in 1945. His parents, his wife and a brother, Oliver Kaspar, preceded him in death. There will be no funeral service as he donated his body to Creighton Medical Center for research. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Dr. William F. KRALIK, J.D., Esq., 90, died Mar 27, 2007. Born May 27, 1916, to Frank and Mary (Woita) Kralik in Weston. Served as a Lt. Commander in the U. S. Navy during WW II in Western Australia, Asia and Singapore. On June 1, 1949 he married Nola Jean Nielsen. His parents, six sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services Mar 31, 2007 in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake City. Interment was at Larkin Sunset Lawn. PRAGUE - Agnes MUSILEK, 88, of Prague died May 1, 2007 in Omaha. Born Dec. 23, 1918, to Anton and Marie (Rerucha) Ludvik in Dwight. She was a teacher. On Sept. 24, 1945, Agnes married George Musilek and they raised three children on a farm near Prague. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George, a brother, Anton "Red" Ludvik and a sister, Antonette Ludvik. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 4, 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. Internment was in St. John's Cemetery in Prague. NORTH BEND - Rose L. NESLADEK, 96, of North Bend, formerly of Morse Bluff, died April 27, 2007. Born July 17, 1910, to Frank and Rose (Matejek) Blatny in Weston. Married Frank Hanis on May 19, 1931 in Prague. He died Nov. 24, 1966. Married Philip J. Nesladek on Aug. 30, 1969 at Abie. He died March 26, 1989. Preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, four brothers, Frank, Joe, Ted and Ernest Blatny; a sister, Josephine Belik; a stepdaughter, Joan Van Ampting; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Hanis and Jan Hallowell. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Fisher Minn., at a later date. ASHLAND - Don Richard BEER, 72, of Ashland, died May 3, 2007. He was born on Jan. 31, 1935, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Joseph F. Beer and Bernice (Harris) Beer. Preceded in death by his brother Joe Beer. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Cedar Hill Cemetery in rural Greenwood. Born on Aug. 6, 1915, in Memphis to Lynn E. and Salomia A. (Gordon) Converse. He entered the U. S. Army on Jan. 24, 1942. Preceded in death by his wife Irene; brother Ellis V. Converse and sister Verna Blodgett. Funeral services were held at on May 5, 2007 at the Marcy Chapel. There was also a Masonic Service given by Pomegranate Lodge 110 AF & AM. Burial followed at the Ashland Cemetery with military rites given by American Legion Post 129. LINCOLN - Herman I. HARNEY, 88, Lincoln, died May 6, 2007. Born to Anna Belle and Herman Harney, Sr., in a log cabin in Nicholas County, Ky. Served in WWII. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Brunker L. Harney and sister, Blossom Harney. Born Feb. 5, 1914 to John and Minnie (Miller) Karloff on a farm north of Yutan. Married Dorene M. Larson on July 14, 1940 in Bennington. Preceded in death by his wife Dorene, his parents, brother, Orvin Karloff, and sister, Erna Nelson. Numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews survive him. WAHOO - Enola B. Larson, 97, of Wahoo, died May 3, 2007. Born Mar 25, 1910, to Fred and Lillie (Karsten) Miller in Yutan. On Aug. 14, 1929, she married Everett Larson at Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her parents, her husband and brother, Delmer Miller, preceded her in death. A daughter, Delores B. Larson of Wahoo; several cousins and many friends survive her. Memorial service was held May 7, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Wahoo. Inurnment was at Sunrise North Cemetery in Wahoo WAKEFIELD - Margaret H. LUNDAHL, 92, of Wakefield, died May 7, 2007. Born on Mar 15, 1915 to Frank and Anna (Passo) Karloff near Mead. On Nov.1, 1936 she was married to Don F. Schneider. He died on Mar 18, 1976. On Oct. 30, 1977, she was wed to Emanuel "Monie" Lundahl. They resided in Wakefield. Her parents, her husbands, two sisters, six brothers and a granddaughter, Melinda, preceded her in death. Funeral services held on May 10, 2007 at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. NYE, 70, of Greenwood, died May 4, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lincoln. Born in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. on Apr. 25, 1937, to Lawrence and Myrtle (Moore) Mackey. Married James Mallien and they had three sons, David, Dan and Don. After their marriage ended, she moved to Lincoln. She married Orlin R. Nye and they moved to Greenwood. They had a daughter, Cherie. Her husband preceded her in death NORTH BEND - Leo C. PETERSEN, 78, of North Bend, died May 10, 2007. Born Jan. 25, 1929 to George and Mary (Brousek) Petersen in Cedar Bluffs. Served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He received the Purple Heart Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars and Army of Occupation Medal (Japan). On Jan. 21, 1978 he married Dorothy Paschen Ostrand at St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend. His parents preceded him in death. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Frank, Ray, Joseph and Oscar Dvorak, and sisters, Libby Dvorak and Hilda Dvorak Rezek. Served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He farmed his entire life in the Colon area and moved to Fremont in 2004. Preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Lloyd Koutny and a sister, Marie Kobza. Graveside services May 21 at St. Francis Cemetery in Wahoo. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Aug. 18, 1956; one grandson, Allen Kudlacek and one brother, George Bruner. Funeral services were held May 7 at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard.
