Preceded in death by: her parents, John and Tilda; her husband, Wilbert; a daughter, Diane Godwin; three sons—Richard, Lyle and Deloit; sisters, Ruby Janeski, Bessie Dovenbarger and Anna Fitzgerald; brothers—Ernest Hoaglund, Earl Hoaglund, Harold Hoaglund and Edwin Hoaglund. Linda Diane SWANSON, 59, of Gothenburg, died Mar 8, 2007, at her home. Services were held on Mar 13, at the First Baptist Church of Gothenburg. Born on Jan. 22, 1948, at Gothenburg to Carl L. and Betty J. (Ragsdale) Butler. Preceded in death by: her father, Carl L. Butler; a sister, Judy J. Butler. Ted LONG, 75, lifelong resident of North Platte, died Mar 6, 2007 at his home. Christian wake services were held on Mar 11, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial followed at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell with graveside military honors. Born on the family homestead northeast of North Platte on Feb. 5, 1932, to Charles and Margaret L. Horne Long. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret. March 22, 2007 Goldie Pearl (Franzen) ZYSSET, 95, died Mar 18, 2007,in Gothenburg. Services: Mar 23, 2007 at the American Lutheran Church of Gothenburg. Burial will be at the American Lutheran Cemetery at Gothenburg. Born on Nov. 16, 1911, to Noah and Pearl (McClellen) Hudson, at Etna, north of Gothenburg. Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, John H Franzen on Oct. 29, 1982; husband, Jess Zysset; a brother, Raymond Hudson; great-grandson, Lane Franzen. Guida Ballard BUTERBAUGH, 86, of Gothenburg, died Mar 16, 2007. Her body was cremated. She and her late husband, Max, will be laid to rest together at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. No service will be held. Born on Jan. 8, 1921, to George and Leta (Reed) Ballard, on a farm near Vesta. Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Max, on Nov. 17, 2002; a son, Joe on Dec. 30, 2001. Lawrence R. SHEETS, 75, of Truth or Consequences, NM, and former Cozad resident, died Mar 12, 2007, at Lubbock, TX. Services were held on Mar 17, 2007 at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel at Cozad. Burial was at the Arnold Cemetery. Born on Dec. 29, 1931, at Lenora, KS, to Claude and Etta Wilson Sheets.
