Ashland Gazette Mar 2007 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Raymond L. OWEN, 77, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away Mar 15, 2007. Raymond L. Owen was born Mar 2, 1930 in Fullerton to the late Virgil and Nellie Owen, who preceded him in death. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a meteorologist and retired from Allison Engine Company as a computer programmer and was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Allene; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Becky Owen and Phil and Christy Owen; brother Clarence and wife Ruth of Ashland; sisters Wilma, Martha and Verna; six grandchildren. A private service was held in the Ben Franklin Mausoleum Chapel at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Indianapolis. LINCOLN - Carl A. LEWIS, 80, died at his home in Lincoln surrounded by his family, on Mar 25, 2007. Born June 19, 1926, in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Verona and Drexel Lewis. Served in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and was medically discharged in 1945 due to rheumatic fever. Preceded in death by his parents Drexel Lewis and Verona and Clifford Carey and his brother, Eugene Alan Lewis. Memorial services will be held at Capital City Christian Church, Mar 29, 2007 in Lincoln. Graveside services with military rites will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery. GREENWOOD - Eugene R. EIKERMAN, 66, lifelong rural Greenwood farmer, passed away Mar 20, 2007. Born in Lincoln on Nov. 12, 1940, to Raymond and Delia (Neben) Eikerman of rural Alvo. Preceded in death by parents and an infant sister. A memorial service was held Mar 23, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church. Roper and Sons Funeral Services, Lincoln, was in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held in Holyoke, Colo. for Dwane BELL, formerly of Waverly and Lincoln. He died Feb. 2 of cancer. He was 57. Born in Lincoln and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by father, William "Bill"; brother, Larry B.; and a nephew. LINCOLN - LeeRoy D. BODEN, 72, of Lincoln formerly of Sterling died Feb. 6, 2007. Born on Oct 8, 1934 at rural Sterling and graduated from Sterling High School in 1952. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Trientje Kelle Boden; an infant brother; one sister, Linda; and a nephew, Darrin Bouc. Funeral services were held Feb. 9 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Sterling. Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery of rural Sterling. EAGLE - Funeral services for Lorraine S. EBERHARDT of Eagle were Feb. 16, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waverly. She died Feb. 11, 2007 at the age of 75. Born Apr 7, 1931 to Emil and Ella (Grosshans) Sorge of Davenport. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents; and brothers, Wayne, Harley and Raymond.
