Edwin John KNIEVEL, 80, of West Point, died May 31, 2007, in Omaha. 
Mass of Christian burial was June 4, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. 
Burial with military honors at St. Michael's Cemetery. Stokely Funeral Home 
was in charge of arrangements.

William A. SAF, 88, of West Point, formerly of Lyons, died June 2, 2007
in West Point. Funeral services were June 5, 2007, at the Memorial United 
Methodist Church in Lyons. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery.
Pelan Funeral Services, Oakland, was in charge of arrangements.

Leroy SCHLEUSENER, 85, died June 1, 2007, at Arroyo Grande, Calif.
Born Oct. 21, 1921, in Cuming County to William and Emma Schleusener.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; a brother Roland of Antioch, Ill.; and 
a sister Eunice (Elmer) Mohl of Norfolk.

Olivia PIERCE, 91, of Beemer, formerly of West Point, died June 3, 2007. 
Funeral services were June 6, 2007, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in 
West Point. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery. Stokely Funeral Home 
was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Wayne "Babe" WIESE, 79, of West Point, were 
June 9, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. Burial was 
in St. Michael's Cemetery. Wayne died on June 6, 2007.
Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

John Christ JAHNKE, 92, of Searcy, Ark., died June 13, 2007. 
A memorial service was held at Our Shepherd Lutheran 
Church, Searcy, Ark., Saturday, June 16, 2007. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Verly L. PHILLIPS, 82, of Wisner were 
June 19, 2007, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wisner. Burial 
was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Verly died June 15, 2007
in Wayne.

Dr. Clem and Sheila McGILL, both 62, of Wahoo, died June 15, 2007
as the result of a car accident. Mass of Christian burial was June 20, 2007.
Interment at St. Francis Cemetery. Arrangements were by Svoboda Funeral 
Home, Wahoo.

Clifton RENNEKER, 90, Anthon, Iowa, died on June 11, 2007 in 
Correctionville, Iowa. Services were June 14, 2007, at the St. Joseph's 
Church in Anthon, Iowa. Burial was at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

James RALL, 72, died June 19, 2007 in Scribner. Funeral services 
will be Friday, June 22, 2007, in the United Lutheran Church in Scribner. 
Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Irma V. HEIMANN, 91, of West Point, died June 16, 2007 in Norfolk. 
Public Wake Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home 
in West Point. Burial will occur at a later date at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald E. VanKIRK, 65, of Bancroft, died on June 18, 2007 in Lincoln. 
Funeral services June 22, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church in 
Bancroft. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery with military honors 
by Bancroft Legion Post #191. 

Rita T. LUEBBERT, 73, of West Point, died June 19, 2007 in Omaha. 
Mass of Christian burial June 22, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. 
Public wake services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic 
Church. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery. 

Funeral services for Scott H. MARLER, 53, of Sugerland, Texas, were 
held June 12, 2007, in Houston, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Ann 
and daughter, Lauren; father -in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Julius and 
Susan Sheppard of West Point.

Jeanette (Jan) PULS, 75, of Pender, died on June 22, 2007. Funeral 
services were June 26, 2007, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender. 
Interment will be in the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery near Pender.
Munderloh Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Joseph SMEAL, 84, of Snyder, died June 24, 2007 in Dodge. 
Mass of Christian of burial was June 27, 2007, at St. Leo Catholic Church 
in Snyder. Burial in St. Leo Cemetery. Stokely Funeral Home was in charge 
of arrangements.

Sandra Joy (Klute) YOUNG, 53, of Friend, died June 23, 2007, at her 
home following a 15-year struggle with Parkinson's disease. Funeral 
services were held June 26, 2007, at the Friend Christian Assembly 
Church in Friend, with burial in the Friend cemetery.

Harlan C. M. KRATKE, 84, of Pender, died on June 25, 2007
in West Point. Funeral services will be held on June 28, 2007 at 
St. John's Lutheran Church in Pender. Interment will be in the 
St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
