Edwin 'Eddie' Harold PHILPOTT was born Aug. 28, 1920 in Holcomb, Kan., 
to Charles H. and Mabel Johnson Philpott and passed away May 16, 2007 
at the age of 86 years. Graduate of Wauneta High School and served in 
the Coast Guard during World War ll. In 1944 he married Vivienne C. 
Richards who died in Feb. 2007. Preceded in death by his parents, his 
wife, three sisters, brothers Donald, Howard and Lawrence. A memorial 
service was held May 23, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Christ the Vine Lutheran 
Church in Clackamas, OR.
 
Harold Dean BREESE of Hayes Center died June 9, 2007. He was 64 years old.
Born on Dec. 2, 1942, at Sidney, Neb., to Clarence Edward and Fern Frances 
(Walters) Breese. Served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. 
On April 1, 1987, married Janice Elsie Rathbun in Boulder, Colo. Preceding him 
in death were his parents, Clarence and Fern Breese; one sister, Malvina Hockley; 
and an infant brother, Roy Edward Breese. A memorial service was held 
June 13, 2007, at the Liewer Funeral Home in Wauneta. Inurnment in Wauneta 
Riverside Cemetery with a Military Honor Committal by American Legion 
Post #304, Wauneta, Neb.

John TEPLY, Jr. of Champion died June 6, 2007. He was 92 years old.
Born on Nov. 18, 1914, on the family farm north of Wauneta to John 
and Martha (Neverve) Teply. He attended the rural Elmer School 
north of Wauneta. On Dec. 7, 1940, he married Opal Lucille Lovitt in 
North Platte. They made their home on a farm north of Wauneta. 
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Martha Teply; 
one sister, Josie Keller; and four brothers: Henry, Charles, Raymond 
and Eddie Teply. Graveside services  & burial were held June 9, 2007
at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial. 

Bruce Edwin KITT was born Aug. 21, 1921, to Ray and Hilda Seward Kitt 
in a sod house southwest of Wauneta, Neb. On Aug. 21, 1942, his 21st 
birthday, Bruce married Nirene Troxel. Bruce passed away June 7, 2007
after a brief battle with a lung melanoma. In addition to his parents, he 
was preceded in death by one sister, Merle Janice; and two brothers, 
Kenneth and Ralph. A memorial celebration was held on June 9, 2007
at Westside Church of Christ in Imperial. A private family inurnment 
will be held at a later time at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.

Eva E. PEZZA, age 84, died June 17, 2007. Born in Palisade on 
April 14, 1923, to Floyd and Anna (Dudek) Follett. Married Frank Pezza 
in McCook on Oct. 2, 1944. To this union one daughter was born.
Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Anna; husband, Frank 
on Nov. 3, 2000; brothers Don and Ralph Follett; one sister, Shirley 
Grabast. Survived by her daughter, Annamarie Pezza; and sister 
Mary Post, both of Palisade. Memorial services held June 20, 2007
at the Palisade Cemetery.
