Graveside service held June 7, 2007 at Robb Cemetery south of Lexington. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Denis William BLUEL, a native of Eustis, Nebraska, passed away at home from Lou Gehrig's disease on June 7, 2007. Born April 2, 1945, to William and Ruth Bluel. Married Carolyn Johnson and then served two years in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wilma Sturgeon, who had lived in Holdrege, Nebraska. Memorial services were held June 13, 2007, at Phillips United Methodist Church, in Lakewood, Colorado. Private burial was at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Opal OGORSOLKA, 90 of Cozad, Nebraska, died June 12, 2007, at Gothenburg, Nebraska. Born Jan 17, 1917, north of Cozad to Wyrthy and Delia Griffis Bartlett and attended rural Dawson County schools. On Feb 22, 1939, married Vincent Ogorsolka. Preceded in death by her husband in 1982; a son, Charles in 1985; a brother, Wayne; a sister, Glenna Young; an infant sister, Audrey; and an infant brother, Glenn. Mass of the Christian burial was held June 15, 2007 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cozad. Burial was in the Cozad Cemetery. Kate Geneva LEE, 96, died June 16, 2007, Gothenburg, Nebraska. Born Nov 2, 1910, at Cozad, Nebraska, to Tom Dale Shipton,and Elsie Wedge Shipton. Married Eugene W. Lee in 1951. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Lee, in 1980; sisters, Juanita (Donovan) Deal, Eunice (Joe) Auld, and Esther (E. George) Surber; niece, Corrine (Bill) Auld; and nephew Alan (Barbara) Deal, A memorial service, following her cremation will be held June 28, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Gothenburg. Her remains will be interned at the Riverview Cemetery in Chelan, Washington. Dick J. NELSON, 83, of Aurora, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, NE died June 17, 2007. Born Nov 24, 1923, at Lexington, to Albert and Elsie (Stanford) Nelson. Entered the U. S. Coast Guard in 1943, and was Honorably discharged in 1946. Married Iryl Tomasek on Jan 2, 1947 at the United Methodist Church in Lexington. Preceded in death by his parents; older sister, LaVere; and his infant son, Terry Dick Nelson. Funeral services were held June 20, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Burial with Military Honors was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Thelma J. RHONE, 84, of Lexington, NE, died June 18, 2007. Born Mar 13, 1923, at Lexington, to Joseph P. and Lucy A. (Fagot) Lauby. Marriage to Vaughn K. Rhone on July 15, 1944, at Lexington. Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; husband, Vaughn in 1999; and son, Randy in 2001. Mass of Christian Burial June 22, 2007, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington.
