Iva OLSON, age 89, of Stromsburg, NE died June 13, 2007.
Funeral service June 15, 2007 at the Midwest Covenant Home 
in Stromsburg. Interment was in the Stromsburg Cemetery. 
Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola was in charge 
of arrangements. Iva was born Dec 20, 1917 to Henry and Olga 
(Swanson) Olson at Stromsburg. Preceded in death by her 
parents, Henry and Olga Olson; two brothers Henry Olson Jr. 
and Donald Olson; sisters-in-law, Emogene and Helen Olson. 

Bea CURRY, age 85, Overland Park, KS, died May 25, 2007. 
Service May 29 at Atonement Lutheran Church, Overland Park, KS. 
Interment was at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson Co. Memorial Gardens 
in Overland Park, KS. Born June 15, 1921 to Alvin F. and Amanda E. (Larson) 
Anderson in Silver Creek. She was a teacher. Marriage to Harold James Curry 
on Oct 3, 1946 in Swede Home, Nebraska. 

Violet L. HARRISON, 91, of Lincoln, widow of George W. Harrison, died 
June 12, 2007. She was born Oct 3, 1915 in Polk County, Nebraska to 
Louie and Elizabeth (Lauerman) Johnston. Married George W. Harrison in 1938. 
He preceded her in death in 1994. Preceded in death by her husband, two 
brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 
Funeral services were held June 15th at Roper & Sons Chapel, in Lincoln. 
A committal service was held at 3:30 p.m. at the Osceola Cemetery. 

Ronald L. SCHOOP, age 40, of Fairmont, NE, died June 3, 2007
in Fairbury, Nebraska. Graveside services were June 8, 2007 at the 
Osceola Cemetery. Military Rites by Osceola Legion William Wolfe 
Post #91. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg was in 
charge of arrangements. Born Aug 22, 1966 at Omaha, NE to Richard 
L. and Karen J. (Wieseman) Schoop. Served in the Armed Forces from 
1984 to 1988 serving as a medic. Preceded in death by his mother 
Karen Wieseman.

Maurine M. (Rosenberry) GERMAIN, age 84, of Shelby, NE, died June 3, 2007
in Osceola. Funeral services were June 6, 2007 at Dubas Funeral Home in 
Osceola. Interment was in the Shelby Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of 
Osceola and Stromsburg was in charge of arrangements. Born Sept 27, 1922 
to Albert and Alta (Gottschall) Schmoker in Osceola. Marriage to Virgil (Leonard) 
Rosenberry. Later married to Marvin Hess. She married Reuben Germain. Preceded 
in death by husband Virgil Rosenberry, her husband Marvin Hess, one son Alan 
Rosenberry, and one sister Lorene Gillette.

Edna O. DOREMUS, age 82, of Gresham, NE, passed away June 18, 2007 
in York, Nebraska. Funeral services were June 23, 2007 at St. Peter's 
Lutheran Church in Gresham. Interment was in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery 
in Gresham. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola was in 
charge of arrangements. Born Sept 14, 1924 to Bruno and Irene (Flauss) 
Irmer in Benedict. Marriage to Leroy F. Doremus on April 30, 1945 in 
Marysville, Kansas. They farmed southeast of Stromsburg for 42 years. 
Preceded in death by her husband Leroy, who passed away Feb 28, 1996; 
one daughter Janice Reikofski; sons-in-law, Mike Reikofski, and Tim Noble; 
granddaughter Shary Noble; three brothers Lavern Irmer, Leroy Irmer 
and Ervin Irmer.

Doris Bernice PETERSON, age 95, of Stromsburg, NE, passed away June 25, 2007.
Funeral services were June 28, 2007 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Swede Home. 
Interment was in the Swede Home Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg 
and Osceola was in charge of arrangements. Born April 10, 1912 to Frank Emil and 
Ida Emilia (Krong) Falk at Newman Grove, Nebraska. On Nov 10, 1934 married 
Edgar William Peterson in North Platte, Nebraska. Preceded in death by two 
sisters, Helene Byrd, twin sister Dorothy Eoff, and one grandson Lynn Peterson.

Elsie S. ONDRACEK, age 85 of Dodge, passed away June 25, 2007. 
Funeral services were held June 27 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church 
in Dodge. Interment was in the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. 
Humlicek Funeral Home in Dodge was in charge of arrangements. 
Born Dec 31, 1921 in rural Dodge (Colfax County) to Anton and Agnes 
(Marsoun) Semerad. On Oct 28, 1947, Elsie married John L. Ondracek 
at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Preceded in death by her 
husband John on Oct 14, 2000, two sisters Blanche Semerad and Tillie 
Dostal, and one brother Edward Semerad. 

Mary Lucille (Ericson) CURRY, age 85 of Hermitage Tennessee, formerly 
of Lincoln and Holbrook, NE, died June 20, 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee, 
finally succumbing to the effects of Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Stromsburg, NE 
to Wesley and Mildred (Carlson) Ericson on Dec 6, 1921, and married Warren H. 
Curry at Stromsburg on Oct 29, 1943. Preceded in death by her parents and her 
sister and brother-in-law Eleanor and Elton (Bob) Peterson. Memorial services 
June 28, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Holbrook, NE. Private family 
inurnment at the Holbrook Cemetery, Holbrook, NE. 

Harold DEAVERS, age 83 of David City, passed away June 22, 2007 in Lincoln. 
Funeral services were held June 27th at the United Methodist Church in Rising 
City. Burial was in Circle Mound Cemetery with military rites by Shelby Legion 
Post. Chermok Funeral Home in David City was in charge of arrangements. 
Born on the family farmstead north of Rising City on July 1, 1923 to Frank B. 
and Flossie (Brazee) Deavers. Served in the Army/Air Corp in WWII.  
On Nov 3, 1946, married Donna L. Fyfe in Columbus. Preceded in death by 
his parents, two sons David and Dennis; one infant grandson, one brother 
Eugene Deavers, two sisters Thelma Griess and Edna Henrickson.
