Kenneth Elim DANIELSON, 76, died June 29, 2007 in Oakland. 
Funeral services were July 2, 2007, at the Salem Covenant Church 
in rural Oakland. Military Honors were by Ryan VFW Post No. 5543 
and American Legion Post No. 46. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery, 
rural Oakland. Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland was in charge 
of arrangements.

Catherine M. LUMMEL, 88, of West Point died June 28, 2007. 
Mass of Christian burial was July 2, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic 
Church. Burial was at St. Michael's Cemetery. Stokely Funeral 
Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Don WILHELM, 74, of Wisner, were June 29, 2007
at the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner. Burial was in St. 
Matthew's Cemetery, south of Wisner. Military honors were by Wisner 
VFW Post #5767 and American Legion Post #85. Don died on 
June 26, 2007, at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk.

Carol A. SCHLUETER, of rural Hooper, died June 26, 2007 in Omaha. 
The funeral was June 29, 2007, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in 
Scribner. The burial was in the Scribner Cemetery. 

Johnny William NEIMANN, III, 70, of Beemer, died June 28, 2007 at 
his farm home. Funeral services were July 1, 2007, at Grace Lutheran 
Church in West Point. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. 

Alta P. DAHLQUIST, 89, Dubuque, Iowa, died July 2, 2007. 
Services were July 5, 2007, at Holy Trinity Lutheran 
Church, Dubuque, Iowa. Burial was at Mamre Cemetery
Stanton, Iowa. Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral 
Home, Dubuque, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son David Lee (Mary Ubi'nas) Dahlquist 
of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter Joan (Jonathan Brown) 
Dahlquist of Dubuque and three grandsons.

Funeral services for Marian MINARICK, 95, of Snyder, were July 2, 2007
at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Snyder. Burial was in St. Leo's Catholic 
Cemetery. She died on June 29, 2007 in Dodge. Survivors include a 
daughter Anna Mae and Clarence Eikmeier of Dodge, four 
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

John Christ JAHNKE died on June 13, 2007.  
The family will host a gathering for family and friends at St. Joseph's 
Retirement Center in West Point, on July 14, 2007.  Survivors include 
three sisters Laura Zimmerman, Alverna Engelbart and Lenora Jahnke, 
all of West Point; children Jeanette and Ken Hobelman of Nebraska, 
Arna and Art Farabee of Oklahoma, Lynn and Karen Jahnke of Iowa, 
Cheryl and Lyle Pinkley of Arkansas, Kevin and Patricia Jahnke of 
Oklahoma and Collin Jahnke of Arkansas; 16 grandchildren; and 
numerous great-grandchildren.

Alvin R. SCHAUER, 86, of Scribner, died July 7, 2007, in West Point.
Funeral services were July 11, 2007, at St. John Ridgeley Lutheran 
Church. Burial in the Scribner Cemetery. Ludvigsen Mortuaries, Scribner
was in charge of arrangements.

Eugene H. PIEPER, 82, Clear Lake, S.D., died July 3, 2007. Mass of 
Christian burial was July 6, 2007, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Gary, S.D. 
Military honors by Peden-Cole American Legion Post 109. Interment was 
at Grandview Cemetery, Gary, S.D. Houseman-Eng Funeral Home was in 
charge of arrangements.

Scott MARLER, 53 of Sugerland, Texas, died June 19, 2007. Funeral 
services were June 23, 2007, in Houston, Texas. Survivors include his 
wife Ann; daughter Lauren; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dr. Julius 
and Susan Sheppard of West Point.

Winnifred F. BASSETT, 94, of Bancroft, died on July 8, 2007 in Pender. 
Funeral services were July 11, 2007, at the Bancroft Presbyterian Church. 
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill. 

Funeral services, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner for Vance 
RABE, 77, of Wisner, were July 16, 2007. Burial was in the Wisner 
Cemetery. Military honors were by Wisner V.F.W. Post #5767 and 
Beemer American Legion Post #159. He died July 12, 2007.
Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Waldon H. TONJES, 78, died July 22, 2007, in Beemer.
Funeral services , July 26, 2007, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 
rural Pender. Interment was in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender.

Richard J. BAUMERT, Sr., 94, of West Point died uly 19, 2007.
Mass of Christian burial was July 23, 2007, at St. Aloysius Catholic 
Church. Burial was at St. Aloysius Cemetery. 

Funeral services for James OSWALD, 75, of Beemer, July 27, 2007
at the Beemer Mennonite Church in Beemer. Private family burial 
will be in the Beemer Cemetery. He died on July 24, 2007.
