Edward T. DUDA, 80, of Linwood died Feb. 17, 2007 in Lincoln.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Feb. 21, 2007 at Svoboda Funeral 
Home North Chapel in Schuyler. Burial will be in Schuyler Cemetery.

Ramona R. MILLER, 78, of Fremont died Feb. 18, 2007 in Omaha.
Arrangements are pending at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Valerian “Larry” Melvin MORAVEC, 81, of Arlington died Feb. 17, 2007
in Fremont. Born Nov. 24, 1925, at home in Seward Co., to Frank and 
Frances (Krenk) Moravec. Served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. 
Married Beverly Bricker on Nov. 30, 1952, in Ashland. Preceded in death 
by his parents and a brother, Edmund Moravec. Funeral: Feb. 22, 2007 
at Arlington Community Church. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery with 
military honors conducted by members of American Legion Post 71 
and VFW Post 8332 of Arlington.

Alexander SALADO, 16-day-old son of Silvano and Ana (Perez) 
Salado of Fremont, died Feb. 16, 2007. Arrangements are pending 
at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. 

Harris F. “Pete” VOGT, 78, of Nickerson died Feb. 16, 2007 in Omaha.
Born April 12, 1928, in Arlington to John and Anna (Stork) Vogt. Served in  
the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Married Alice Meyer on July 27, 1958, 
in Arlington. Preceded in death by a son, a brother and three sisters.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north 
of Arlington. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, north of Arlington, with 
military honors conducted by members of American Legion Post 71 and 
VFW Post 8332 of Arlington.

Marjorie A. WARD, 72, of Fremont died Feb. 17, 2007. Funeral: Feb. 21, 2007 
at First Christian Church in Fremont. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo.

Catherin A. DOLLISON, 84, of David City died Feb. 21, 2007.
Catherin A. Northway was born May 31, 1922, in Ulysses to Ray and 
Mary (Asbury) Northway. She graduated from David City High School 
in 1940. She married Myron Dollison on Aug. 15, 1942, in San Diego, Calif. 
Preceded in death by her husband, Myron, in 1986 and a son.
Funeral at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in David City. 
Burial will be in the David City Cemetery.

The memorial service for Jean M. KWIATKOWSKI, 83, of Fremont will 
be 1:30 p.m. Feb. 27, 2007 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
She died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her home. Born Sept. 17, 1923, in 
Pawnee City to Samuel R. and Erma (Cornell) Smith. Married Leander 
Kwiatkowski on July 20, 1963, in Wahoo. Preceded in death by her 
parents; two sisters, Ethelda Ingils and Dorothy Lane; three 
brothers-in-law, James Ingils, Robert Lane and William Vacek; and 
a brother, Robert Smith. A private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery 
in Fremont.

The memorial Mass for Justina SCHUETH, 100, of West Point 
at St. Joseph's Retirement Community Chapel in West Point om Feb. 24, 2007.
Died Feb. 21, 2007. Born May 6, 1906, in West Point to Bernard (who immigrated 
from Germany in 1886 at age 14) and Mary (Meister) Heimann. Preceded in death 
by her husband Otto, in 1979; six sisters and three brothers. Burial will occur 
at a later date. 

Floyd A. BENSON, 82, of Papillion, formerly of Lyons, died 
Feb. 25, 2007 in Papillion. Arrangements are pending at Pelan 
Funeral Services in Lyons.

Sharon (Mrs. Jeff) HASTINGS, 64, of Pilger died Feb. 24, 2007 in Norfolk.
The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beemer Mennonite 
Church. Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

J. Owen McCORD, 85, of Omaha died Feb. 23, 2007 in Omaha.
The memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic 
Church in Wisner. Burial of the ashes will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Wallace J. “Wally” OSBORN, 86, of Fremont died Feb. 25, 2007.
Arrangements are pending at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Doris V. PHELPS, 84, of Oakland, died Feb. 24, 2007.
Born July 26, 1922, in Craig to Bert and Anna (Anderson) Berg. 
Married Eldon Phelps on Sept. 21, 1950, in Topeka, Kan. Her 
husband preceded her in death in Feb. 2000. Survivors include: 
two brothers, Bob (and wife, Joan) Berg of Fremont and Don 
(and wife, Joan) Berg of Scribner; four sisters, Eleanor 
(and husband, Art O.) Price of Topeka, Helen Christensen 
of Craig, Eunice Fager of Wahoo and Sandra (and husband, Delwin) 
Slatt of Oakland; and many nieces and nephews. She also was 
preceded in death by her parents, Bert in 1970 and Anna in 1991, 
and a sister, Elaine Hall in 1991. The funeral: Feb. 28, 2007 at 
Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Entombment will be in 
Crown Hill Garden Mausoleum of the Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver.

Susan K. PRUESS, 49, of Wahoo died Feb. 25, 2007 in Fremont.
Born Oct. 4, 1957, in Wahoo to Alfred and Jeanette (Schroeder) Pruess. 
Survivors include her father, Alfred Pruess of Wahoo. She was preceded 
in death by her mother and a brother. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. 
Feb. 28, 2007 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wahoo. Burial will 
be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Flower Hill Cemetery near Bennington.

LaVern SCANLAN, 79, of Schuyler died Feb. 23, 2007.
The funeral will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Svoboda Funeral Home 
South Chapel in Schuyler. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic 
Cemetery in Schuyler.
