Laird J. McCORMICK, Sr., age 76, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away 
Mar 30, 2007 at his home in Lincoln. Graveside services were held April 3, 2007 
at the Osceola Cemetery. A Memorial service was held April 4 at Christ United 
Methodist Church in Lincoln. Born Jan 29, 1931 to Lester Marion and Florence 
Bernice (Hendrickson) McCormick in Silver Creek. Served in the US Marine Corp 
in the 1st Marine Division, Marine Corps Band and was a decorated Korean War 
Veteran. On March 29, 1952 married to Patsy Ann Reeves in Washington , D.C. 
Preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Florence McCormick and one 
brother Neal McCormick.

Eldon O. HUTCHISON, Sr., age 73, of Aurora, Nebraska, died Mar 30, 2007
in Grand Island, Nebraska. Funeral services were April 3, 2007 at the United 
Methodist Church in Silver Creek. Interment was in the Silver Creek Cemetery. 
Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg was in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec 10, 1933 to Theodore and Emma (Wilcox) Hutchison at Osceola, Nebraska. 
On May 9th, 1953 married Patsy E. Jacobs at the Methodist Church in Silver Creek. 
Served in the army in the Korean War. Preceded in death by his parents Theodore 
and Emma Hutchison; one son Barry Hutchison and one brother Terrance Hutchison.

Florene R. DOREMUS, age 88, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away Mar 29, 2007 
in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services were April 2, 2007 at Dubas Funeral Home 
in Osceola, Nebraska. Interment will was in the Osceola Cemetery. Born Jan 10, 1919 
to Frank and Mary (Cremeen) Miller in rural Polk County near Silver Creek. 
On April 24, 1946 married Victor M. Doremus at the Valley Church. Victor passed 
away Dec 27, 1972. Preceded in death by her husband Victor; her parents, Frank 
and Mary Miller; and one brother Loren Miller.

RoJean A. NECKER, 72, of Hordville, died on Mar 25, 2007 in Central City.  
Funeral services were Mar 29, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Hordville.  
Interment was in the Lindale Cemetery near Hordville.  Born on Jan 31, 1935, in 
Osceola to Edwin Gerhart and Alice Leona (McClure) Nelson. On June 5, 1953, 
RoJean A. Nelson and Loyal Necker were united in marriage.  Preceded in death 
by her parents and a brother-in-law, Fred Smith.

Mary Jo GABEL, age 70, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away Mar 15, 2007
in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services were Mar 19, 2007 at St. Vincent's 
Catholic Church, in Osceola. Interment was in the Osceola Cemetery. 
Born July 19, 1936 to Edward J. and Lucie (Farmer) Rolenc Sr. in Hackberry 
Precinct, near Gresham, Nebraska. On June 12, 1956, married Charles L. 
Gabel at Ulysses Immaculate Conception Church. Preceded in death by 
her parents Edward and Lucie Rolenc; sister Rita Hruska; and 
son-in-law David Hill.

Nina Corrine BRANTING, age 99, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away on 
April 4, 2007 in Fremont, Nebraska. Funeral services: April 9, 2007 at 
St. Paul Lutheran Church, Osceola. Interment was in the Osceola 
Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg was in 
charge of arrangements. Born Dec 26, 1907 to Charles F. and Ellen 
(Nelson) Johnson. She was a teacher. On Aug 30, 1934 married 
Raymond Branting in Osceola. Raymond, died on Feb 5, 1994.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ellen Johnson, her 
husband Raymond; one sister Evelyn Buhl; brother Ford Johnson 
and infant brother Harold.

Jerome "Lefty" A. GABRIEL, age 73, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away 
April 3, 2007 in Osceola. Funeral services were April 9, 2007 at 
Shelby Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment was in the Shelby 
Sacred Heart Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and 
Stromsburg was in charge of arrangements. Born May 8, 1933 to 
Albert A. and Matilda L. (Bernt) Gabriel at Osceola, Nebraska. 
Served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. On Aug 9, 1956 he 
married Patricia Marie Wozny at St. Anthony's in Columbus. 
Preceded in death by his parents Albert and Matilda Gabriel; two 
infant sons Michael Lee and James Jerome; sister Marietta Peters, 
and infant sister Verona Mae.

Charlotte Ann MYERS, 67, of Lincoln passed away April 6, 2007. 
Services were held April 10, 2007 at Holy Savior Lutheran Church 
in Lincoln. Interment was in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery 
in Lincoln. Born in Carroll, Iowa to Leo and Rose (Bengford) Dinges. 
Married Henry “Sonny” Myers Jr. in 1967.
