"Gladys Evelyn Evans, the daughter of Edwin Evans and Gunhild Gregerson Evans, was born April 5, 1908,
at Albion.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in the former North Branch Lutheran Church. 
Gladys received her education in Boone County and prior to becoming a resident of nursing homes she lived
her life in Boone County.  On May 6, 1977 she died in the Lincoln General Hospital at Lincoln at the age of
69 years, 1 month and 1 day.  She leaves to survive a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on May 9 at the Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church in rural Albion. 
Rev. Larry E. Spomer of Albion officiated.  Mrs. John Tisthammer was the soloist and Kathy Nelson the organist.
Burial was in the North Branch Cemetery at Petersburg with the following serving as pallbearers:  Alvin Kittelson,
Gene Miller, Herman Kvamme, Larry Johnson, Harold Thorberg, and Frank Thomas.

May  18, 1936 - Mrs. Gregerson Passes Friday
After lingering illness, Mrs.Ole Gregerson passed away at her home Friday morning about seven o'clock.  Recently she suffered a stroke but lately had seemed to be improving.  Tuesday she took a sudden turn for the worse and failed rapidly after that.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, four sons, a sister and three brothers and other more distant relatives.
Funeral services were held at our Saviour's church at South Branch Monday afternoon with Rev. A. Turmo officiating.

"LAST RITES WERE FOR R. B. EVANS
Reuben B. Evans, 65, passed away at his home in the Closter community January 21, 1971.  He lived alone.
Funeral services were held Monday at 3:00 P.M. at South Branch Immanuel Lutheran church with
Rev. Duane Seibert officiating.  Mrs. Roger Nelson was the organist and Mrs. J. C. Tisthammer, soloist.
death was in the North Branch cemetery.  Casket bearers were Frank Thomas, Sr., Alvin Kittelson,
Larry Johnson, Herman Kvamme, Gene Miler, and Harold Thorberg.
Reuben B. Evans was born on April 4, 1905, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evans.  He always lived in Boone County.
He is survived by a sister, Gladys Evans, of St. Edward, and several cousins.

"W. H. EVANS DIES AT HOME NEAR CLOSTER - Funeral Services Held Saturday at North Branch Church
William Evans passed away at his home near Closter in the North Branch community on Thursday,
September 8, after an illness of some duration.  He was 72 years, 5 months and 28 days of age at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, 1:30 at his home and 2:00 at North Branch church.  The pastor, Rev. J. J. Akre, officiated.  Burial was made at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, West Branch. 

William Herbert Evans was born March 10, 1866, at Cedar Falls, Iowa.  At an early age he went with his parents to Wisconsin.  Later he came back to Iowa, and in the year of 1883 they came to Nebraska where he resided in the North Branch community until the time of his death.

Deceased was married to Ragnild Olea Gregerson, December 27, 1893, and to this union was born six children.  His wife preceeded him in death, May 22, 1926. 

Mr. Evans is survived by his children, Torgus, Tillie Belle, Lee, Garness, Grace and Mrs. R. Watland, all of this community, a grand-daughter, Jacqueline Watland; one brother, George, three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gutru, Mrs. Rena Lee and Mrs. Carrie Juelson.

Mr. Evans was one of the early settlers, having been a resident of Closter vicinity 55 years.
