Black Hill Creek Cemetery

BLACK HILL CREEK CEMETERY

Buffalo County, Nebraska  (just south of Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska)

This cemetery is also referred to the Black Hill Basin Cemetery.  From Nebraska Highway 2, turn south into Mason City and continue on this road.  8 1/4 miles from Mason City the gravel road curves to the east and another road continues on south from that point.  This is where the Basin Lutheran Cemetery is located.  Continue traveling south for about 4 more miles from the Basin Lutheran Cemetery.  The road curves to the west at this point and Black Hill Creek cemetery is on the south side of the road.  This cemetery lies on the Buffalo and Custer County border.

A fence surrounds the cemetery and a gate opens into the cemetery.  The words, "Black Hill Creek Cemetery  1899" are on the gate.
