He was a farmer and a painter who homesteaded 3 miles south of Edmore North Dakota. On November 14, 1904, Henry and Gea Maria Sogge Bono born 15 March 1880, rode the train to Lakota, ND to get married. On the farm the Bono's worked hard and had a good life. They were parents of four children: Thelma J (George Machen), Jennie (James Lund), Alice Hattie (Norman C Christianson) and Albert. Both Gea and Henry enjoyed music; Henry especially enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He had a piano shipped from Ashland Wisconsin so the children could learn to play.
