Heading on Rt. 19W from Unicoi Co. towards Burnsville, NC, make a right onto Little Creek Road which crosses over the Cane River -see map below. You will pass a general store/gas station on the left as well as Bald Mountain Road. Proceed on Little Creek Road, which bends sharply to the left for about 2 miles. Once you pass on the right a modern dark wood framed home with a large front porch, you will see a black mailbox [on the right] which marks the entrance of an overgrown logging trail. There is no sign for the cemetery and very easy to miss. The logging road is not fortified and not recommended to drive on. A short hike up the steep logging trail brings you to the cemetery located on the right.
NOTE: Kim Barlow-Sexton and I surveyed the cemetery on May 21, 2009./ photo: macro view of Oscar Bradford Cemetery taken May 21, 2009 --bbpytel. I give special thanks to Kim for sharing her vintage photo collection. |
