DECLARATION FOR INVALID PENSION

19 November 1890
STATE OF North Carolina     COUNTY of Craven



On this 19th day of November, A.D. One thousand eight hundred and ninety



Personally appeared before me a, Clerk of Superior Court, a court of

within and for the County and State aforesaid, Robert Danvers  Age 45

years,a resident of the Town of Stonewall, County of Pamlico, State of 

North Carolina, who being Duly sworn according to law, declares that he 

is the identical Robert Danvers. 



Who was enrolled on the 22 day of May 1863 in Company B 35th Regt. 

U.S.C.T. in the war of the rebellion, and served at least ninety days 

and was Honorably discharged at Charleston, SC on the 1st day of June 1866. 



That he is two third unable to earn a support by reason of Rheumatism, 

Lost of vision, partial lost of sight of the left eye and taken with 

measles at Polly Island SC in the Fall of 1863.



That said disabilities are not due to his vicious habits, and are to the 

best of his knowledge and belief permanent. That he has not applied for 

pension under any other application.



That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the 

pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the Act of 

June 27, 1890. He hereby appoints Fredrick Douglas of New Bern, NC his 

true and lawful attorney to execute his claim, that the sum of ten 

dollars be paid him for his services.



That his Post Office Address is Stonewall  County of Pamlico State of 

North Carolina
