Looking for information concerning a David TAYLOR of Halifax District,
> Martin Co., NC, whose daughter Sarah TAYLOR married Abraham ROBERTS,
III. Sarah and Abraham married in Franklin Co., MS in 1813. Sarah was born
13 Jan 1796 either in TN or NC and died 16 Sep 1883 in Amite Co., MS.
Other children of David TAYLOR were "Lovey" TAYLOR, b. 1800 in TN or NC
who married Robert M. ROBERTS; and David TAYLOR (JR.?) Would like to know
more about the TAYLOR family in North Carolina, Martin County. Thanks

d. Martin Co. 1794 (will dated 1/1/94.) He listed wife Nancy and "the
child that she is big with". Other children listed: Elizabeth, Mary,
Sarah, Scina, Nancy, Lydda, Elijah,(my ancestor b. 9/9/1791 ,m. Temperence
THOMAS of Edgecombe., Co. moved to Ala, then came to Tx while we were
still a Republic.) The child that Nancy "was big with" was named Winne, I
don`t know if that was a boy or a girl. I am seeking any info on this line
Where in Md. was he born? Who were his parents? Who were his siblings?
What was Nancy`S maiden name I have a lot info to share in son Elijah and
his many descendents

1700's. Some members of this family migrated to TN by early 1800's. Reuben
BIGGS, b. 1775, was the son of Kedar BIGGS and grandson of Joseph BIGGS.
Reuben's mother may have been Hannah WARD. Joseph BIGGS was married to
Margaret EASTWOOD. Margaret was the daughter of Thomas EASTWOOD (b. 1702)
and Ruth CHERRY (b. 1705). Ruth was the daughter of John CHERRY, b. 1619.

County. A family diary said John came from Wales to Williamston. There is

They lived near Bethel and Grindle creek. I am looking for information on
Benjamin BOWERS Sr., Pitt County Commissioner 1760, Sheriff of Pitt Co.
1774 - 1778, died circa 1800. Benjamin BOWERS, Jr. married Mary LLEWELLYN
(dau of John LLEWELLYN on Martin county) died circa 1797. Benjamin BOWERS
(III) born circa 1777 in Pitt Co. married Nancy ?, moved to Georgia in the
early 1820's. Also Ephraim WILLIS who lived in southern Pitt Co and
northern Craven Co. moved to Georgia circa 1805.
