The Kannapolis History Associates is a non-profit organization
dedicated to preserve the history of the City of Kannapolis, North
Carolina. The Organization is active today in many areas,
including preserving old photographs, preserving and displaying the GI
house, and compiling all sorts of information about the early days of
Kannapolis, as well as the recent. We also co-sponsor an annual
Tour of Homes, where we highlight several homes in our Mill Village
area.
The Foy T. and Gertrude Hinson History Room is located in a wing of the Kannapolis Public Library in Kannapolis, NC and is a repository of all sorts of information regarding Kannapolis in its early years to the present. It is an excellent resource for genealogists and historians, as well as anyone just wanting to know some forgotten fact about the Kannapolis area. The collection is open to the public When a volunteer is on duty, and every other Saturday from 9am until 5 pm. We are always interested in your story or picture about Kannapolis in the past. Please drop by to share with us. Or just drop by to see what's there! |
