10th Annual Morris Family Reunion
2003
The 10th Annual Morris Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2003, at the Asheville, NC, Recreation Park, on the Swannanoa River Road. The gathering will take place at Shed #2, near the park entrance.
The reunion honors the descendants of Elias and Sarah Morris of Montgomery County, NC, and their sons who served the Confederacy (Zebedee, William, Larkin). Zebedee and William relocated their families to Buncombe and Madison County, NC, just prior to the Civil War. This is not the Elias Morris who migrated to Kentucky. This Elias Morris died 30 August 1853 in Montgomery County, Pee Dee District.
