Note: The reunion is a private event of the National Allison (Allanson) Family Association, produced by the dues-paying members of the organization, but all Allison family members from all lines of the family, regardless of surname today, are cordially invited to attend as guests of the association. Guests are invited to attend all reunion events except for the family history seminars and workshops that are limited to current association members only. A membership table will be placed at the entrance to family history seminars and workshops for the benefit of new found family members who have yet to join the association and who would like to attend the seminars and workshops.

IMPORTANT: Attendance at all reunion events is strictly by advance reservation with advance meal payment. Sorry, no exceptions.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please note that the account of Allison family history published by W.C. Allen's "Annals of Haywood County" is severely flawed and contains fictitious claims. The Allisons of Haywood County are originally Marylanders who migrated first to Burke County (site that is today in McDowell County), North Carolina in the first decade of the 1800's. There they joined other Marylander Allisons who had already resettled there in an incremental move that began in ca. 1780 and continued for approximately 25 years. Within a short time, Hezekiah Allison and family migrated a short distance to the west into today's Haywood County. Allen's assumptions concerning our history have confused us with a totally unrelated Allison family of the Piedmont region with whom we share NO known ancestry or kinship whatsoever. As with all unsubstantiated claims we find, all claims put forth by W. C. Allen's book should be thoroughly researched in ORIGINAL RECORDS before acceptance of those claims as fact. For the sake of responsible handling of history, we are working hard to eradicate the flawed claims concerning our Allison family history.

Special discount reunion lodging packages are available at many area hotels and motels. Attendance for this huge heritage event is expected to be drawn from up to 40 states and Great Britain.

Micheal Allison
