****************

The Guilford County Genealogical Society, founded in 1974, is a non-profit organization of about 230 members nationwide, dedicated to genealogy and family history research, education and publication.
Through its educational programs and publications, GCGS promotes interest in genealogy and standards of genealogical research. GCGS also promotes the collection and preservation of family records,
manuscripts, documents and other genealogy materials. Although the primary focus of GCGS is Guilford County genealogy, many of GCGS's programs are of general interest to anyone interested in genealogy.
