Marriage Records
The official County Registers are missing, but much of the time frame can be filled in from the items listed below, and from Daniel F. Johnston, Vital Statistics From New Brunswick Newspapers; Janice Seely's, Sunbury Happenings; The Ward Book - a record made by Clarence Ward, in Saint John, of items from NB newspapers, which has been filmed by PANB (this record also contains many historical items). Elizabeth Sewell has published a book on Sunbury County marriage records (now sold by PANB). Also, take note that Sunbury County is a very narrow county, and those living near the county lines often chose York or Queens Counties for special events in their lives. |
