Store on north side of the road, at Moores Mills, St. David, N.B. Once owned by Chauncey Pollard, it was owned in 1973 by Ed Spinney. In his later years (in 1980s) Ed Spinney lived in a trailer at the bend in the Murphy Road. Always energetic, Ed Spinney never let his arthritis or haemophilia keep him from being active. In the 1980s Ed was the oldest haemophiliac in Canada for several years. NOTE: Ed Spinney's nephew is CARROLL SPINNEY, the creator and animator of BIG BIRD of Sesame Street fame - well known to any 5-year-old. Photo taken 29 Sept. 1973, by Steve Robbins.
