A loving father, grandfather, brother, Neil is survived by his two sons; Bruce (Nancy) Buchanan, Wendell Buchanan (Angie), four daughters: Wanda (Tim) Hatt, Twylla (Ron) Justason, Denise (Brad) Newsham and Stacey Buchanan (Mitchell Dooks), grandchildren; Adam, Abraham, Megan, Sheena, Russell, Neil Jr, Ryan, Jenna, Ronnie Jr. and Cally, 11 great grandchildren, siblings; Pauline Craig, Audrey Noddin (Rosetta), Ramona (Lyle) Boyd, Glendon (Kaye) Buchanan, Crystal (Dale) Shaw, Charlotte (Glen) Norman, Carol (Gerry) Henry, Duane (Ellen) Buchanan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Edna, great granddaughter Isabella Buchanan, sister Rachel Matthews and his brother Curtis Buchanan.
Neil loved spending time with his family especially his grand children and great grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and always enjoyed to go snowmobiling, biking and especially hunting and fishing. Neil was also known as a Mr. Fix It and was often found in the yard puttering on something. If he could not fix it the right way, he would always make it work Neil`s way. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The service will take place from the St. George Baptist Church on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating, followed by the interment in the Second Falls Baptist Cemetery.
