At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on October 26, 2012, Mr. James
Daniel Kinney, husband of the late Mrs. Norma Josephine (Sherwood) Kinney
formerly of Second Falls NB. Born at Piskahegan NB on December 9, 1914, he
was a son of the late Daniel and Kathleen (Frost) Kinney. A loving father,
grandfather, great grandfather and brother he is survived by five daughters;
Linda Needle of St. George NB, Josephine Johnston of Bethel NB, Kathleen
McGraw of Second Falls NB, Anita (Allen) Stevens of Second Falls NB and
Laura (Bud) Hillier of Tracyville NB, seven grandchildren; Jimmy (Lisa),
Christopher, Shannon (Scott), Wendy, Allen, Theresa (Adam) and Robert, seven
great grandchildren, one sister, Bertha Faloon of North Carolina, one
brother, Arnold Kinney of L’Etete NB and several nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to his beloved wife, Norma, he was predeceased by two
sisters, Mealey McKinney and Phyllis Buchanan.
Prior to his retirement James worked in the Construction Industry as a
labourer. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a
love for all animals. In his earlier years, James was a guide in the local
area.
As keeping with James’ request there will be no visitation. A service will
be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at
the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St.
George NB with Rev. Reg Ward officiating followed by the interment at the
Second Falls Baptist Cemetery. In James’ memory donations to the NB Heart &
Stroke Foundation or to the Charlotte County SPCA would be appreciated by
the family. The family would like to take the time to say a special thank
you to the Staff and Management of the Fundy Nursing Home for their kind and
compassionate care of their dad. Their love and support will never be
forgotten.
