Lila Chambers
Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on December 28, 2010, Mrs. Lila (Kinney) Chambers, wife of the late Mr. Carl Chambers of Second Falls NB. Born at Bonny River NB on October 22, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Aldon and Nellie (Frost) Kinney. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by two sons; Thomas (Theresa) Chambers and Charles (Clara) Chambers both of Second Falls NB, three daughters; Sharon (Ken) Stevens, Patsy Chambers and Susan Chambers all of Second Falls NB, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Hazel Walsh of Bucksport ME, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Carl, she was predeceased by two brothers; Eldon and Harland and by three sisters; Marguerite Craig, Minnie Brown and Blanche MacVicar.

Prior to her retirement, Lila worked for Connors Bros. as a packer. In her free time, she loved to knit, cook and enjoyed spending the afternoon fishing. Lila was a member of the Second Falls Baptist Church.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will take place from the Second Falls Baptist Church, Second Falls NB on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating. The interment will take place at the chuch cemetery in the spring. In Lila’s memory, donations to the Second Falls Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
