Unexpectedly at her residence, at Second Falls NB on August 24, 2010, Mrs.
Norma Josephine Kinney, wife of Mr. James D. Kinney. Born at Second Falls on
April 24, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Manford and Josephine
(Campbell) Sherwood. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, in addition to
her husband James, she is survived by five daughters; Linda Needle of St.
George NB, Josephine Johnston of Bethel NB, Kathleen (Gilbert) McGraw and
Anita (Allen) Stevens both of Second Falls and Laura (Bud) Hillier of
Tracyville NS, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several
nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased by
one brother, Lawrence.
Prior to her retirement, Norma worked for the Star Kist Tuna Plant, St.
Andrews NB, for several years. She had a love for cooking, especially her
baked beans and homemade bread. Norma enjoyed spending her free time with
her family and loved to have visits from friends.
As per Norma’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will
be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral
Home on Thursday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating, followed by the
interment at the Second Falls Baptist Church Cemetery. In Norma’s memory,
donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the
