2009, Mr. Emerson John Jordan, husband of Mrs. Edith (
Stevens)
Jordan of Second Falls NB.
Born at Bonny River
NB on March 23, 1941, he was a son of the late Percy and Eunice (
Goodrich)
Jordan. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to
his wife, Edith, he is survived by one son, Terry Jordan (Madeline
Hanley) of Second Falls NB, three daughters; Tania Jordan (Henry
Sargefield) of Back Bay NB, Brenda-Lea (James)
Montgomery
of Devon AB and Crystal
Lefaut(Shawn Roles) of Napanee ON,
4.5 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters; Clara (Charles)
Chambers and Alice (David)
Baldwin both of
Second Falls, one uncle; Aldon Goodrich, one aunt; Rhoda Carson and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to his retirement, Emerson was a carpenter by trade who worked at many
job sites, including the construction of Point Lepreau. He served a brief
time in the Army as a Peacekeeper with his old friend, Freddy the Horse
Thief. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and guide with his
best buddies, Russ, Buster, Hughie, Igor and Vanna, and with his good
friends of Lee Settlement Farm who made their home feel like a second home
to Emerson and of course, his best pal Buddy. Emerson was a member of the
Royal Canadian Legion Branch #40 in St. George NB.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage
Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from The Gary E.
Waycott Memorial Chapel on Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating.
Visiting at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
In Emerson’s memory, donations to the Second Falls Baptist Church, or to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
