Seymour Delman McLeese



The death of Mr. Seymour Delman McLeese of Back Bay, NB, husband of Elaine (Wright) McLeese occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on January 25th, 2005. Born in Back Bay, NB on November 27, 1927, he was a son of the late Warden and Ethel (Hooper) McLeese. Besides his wife, Elaine, he is survived by two daughters, Penny Parks (Robert) of St. George, and Loretta McAleenan (Michael) of St. George; three sons, James McLeese (Ann) of Saint John, Todd McLeese (Cathy) of St. George and Bradley McLeese of Back Bay; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Vance McLeese (Audrey) of Winchester, ON; two sisters, Leona Herron (Austin) of McAdam and Jean Boudreau of Calgary, AB. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Clifton and Warden; three sisters, Helen, Fanny and Clara.

Seymour had worked as a labourer at the Connors Bros. plant in Back Bay and also had been a self-employed fisherman. He enjoyed the salt water, loved the outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing.

Resting at Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay from where the service will be held on Friday, January 28th at 2 pm, with Rev. Gordon Cooke Jr. officiating. Visiting at the church on Wednesday 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Interment to take place in the spring in St. George Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB.
