At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on June 16, 2012, Mrs. June
Maxine (
Fiander) Shaw, wife of the late Mr. Cedric Harold
Shaw of St. George NB. Born at Bocabec NB on April 5, 1937, she was a
daughter of the late William and Alice (
Seeley) Fiander. A
loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, June is survived
by one son, Brian (Bonnie) Shaw of Lepreau NB, two daughters; Debbie
(George)
McGarrigle of Pennfield NB and Vicki (Raymond)
Hall of St. George NB, six grandchildren; Brent, Alisha,
Vanessa, Gregory, Tyler and Dylan, two great grandchildren; Hillary and
Grace, one brother, Richard (Sandra) Fiander of Bocabec NB, one sister,
Doris
Parks of St. Stephen NB and several nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Prior to her retirement, June worked for over 40 years with Connors Bros. In
her spare time she loved to garden, make pickles, bake and feed everyone who
walked though her door. She could often be found talking on the phone,
checking in with her family who she loved so very much. She will be sadly
missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage
Street, St. George NB with visiting on Monday from 6-9 pm. The service will
be held from the St. George Baptist Church, St. George NB on Tuesday at 3:00
pm with Rev. Darren Millett and Rev. Bill Parks officiating, followed by the
interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to
the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated by the family.
At this time the family would like to say a big thank you to Doris for being
there by mom's side and for all the sleepovers. Without you, we couldn't
have gotten through this hard time.
