Charles
McGEE who died at St. George (Charlotte Co.), was a native of St.
Andrews, from which he removed to St. George some 22 years since and where for
several years, he has been engaged in mercantile pursuits. He took an interest
in militia matters, having attained the rank of major, and was acting captain of
the St. George Infantry Company. He was an unsuccessful candidate for
Legislative honors at the last election for House of Assembly. He left widow,
children besides an aged mother brothers and sisters. His remains were interred
with Masonic honors in St. George Cemetery last Saturday. - 'Bay Pilot'
