Edna Irene  Leavitt
Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on August 13, 2011, Mrs. Edna Irene (Trynor) Leavitt, wife of the late Mr. Burns M. Leavitt of Blacks Harbour NB. Born in Pennfield NB on July 14, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (McHugh) Trynor. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she is survived by one son, Robert (Glenna) Leavitt of Blacks Harbour NB, one daughter, Betty Leavitt also of Blacks Harbour NB, two grandsons, several great grandchildren, one brother Lloyd (Chris) Trynor of Moncton NB and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Burns, she was predeceased by her brother, Hazen, her twin brother Edwin and by two sisters, Joan Adams and Alice Justason.

Prior to her retirement, Edna worked for Connors Bros for many years, both in the factory and later in the Fundy Arena canteen. She was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will take place from the Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family
