Shaw)(
Hooper) Wilcox, wife
of Mr. Ellsworth Wilcox. Born at Hartland NB on January 25, 1930, she
was a daughter of the late Harold and Alma (
Delong)
Shaw. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her
husband Ellsworth, she is survived by four sons; Carl (Linda) Hooper of
St. George NB, Joseph (Analee) Hooper of Spruce Grove AB, Ronald
(Suzanne) Hooper of St. George NB and Robert (Jill) Hooper of Hamilton
ON, two daughters; Judy (Emile) Boudreau of Pennfield NB and Peggy
(Steve) Galbraith of Little Lepreau NB, one step son, Larry (Kandi)
Wilcox of Pennfield NB, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, two
great great grandchildren, brothers; Dale (Crystal) Shaw of Utopia NB,
Earl (Joan) Shaw of St. George NB and Larry (Martha) Shaw of Lepreau,
one sister, Eldene Powell of St. George NB and several nieces, nephews
and cousins. Alice was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Earl
Hooper, one grandson, Kyle Hooper and by three brothers; Floyd, Cedric
and Jack.
Prior to her retirement, Alice was a cook and waitress for restaurants
in the local area and worked as a packer at Connors Bros until her
retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, and when able,
traveling with Ellsworth.
Resting at the St. George Baptist Church, St. George NB from where the
service will be held on Monday at 2 pm with Rev. Darren Millett
officiating followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
Visiting at the church will take place on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In
Alice’s memory, donations to the NB Extra Mural Program or to a charity
of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
