At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB, following a brief illness,
on May 16, 2010, Mr. F. Clayton Dick, husband of Marjorie (Stewart) Dick of
L’Etete NB. Born at L’Etete on November 30, 1927, he was a son of the late
Bertram and Edith (McMahon) Dick. A loving husband, father, grandfather and
brother, in addition to his wife Marjorie, he is survived by three sons;
Dean (Deborah) Dick of St. George NB, Dale (Margaret) Dick of L’Etete and
Jerry Dick of Mascarene NB, two daughters; Joan (Lorne) Leavitt of L’Etete
and Lorna (Clifton) Rogers of Minto NB, seven grandchildren; Pamela Dick,
Amanda Dick, Jeffrey Dick, Bradley Rogers, Michelle Rogers, Adam Rogers and
Jill Covault, one sister, Marion Barry of St. George and several nieces,
nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Elwood, and by one
sister, Rhoda Eldridge.
Prior to his retirement, Clayton worked for Connors Bros. at Back Bay as an
Industrial Mechanic for over 32 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who
enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially biking. He was also a master of
fixing things and enjoyed working in his wood pile. He was a member of the
L’Etete Church of Christ.
In keeping with Clayton’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Memorial
Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm from the L’Etete Church of Christ,
L’Etete NB, with Rev. Giles Mullen officiating. In Clayton’s memory,
donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
