John A. Crickard, St. George, Dies
ST. GEORGE, N.B., Jan.
17 - (Special) - The death of John A. Crickard, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
George Crickard, occurred at his home here today after an illness of several
months. He was in his 81st year, having been born at Pennfield in August 1860.
Moving to St. George in 1896, he set up in business here but had retired after a
long period as merchant.
Mr. Crickard is survived by four daughters, Miss Agnes,
Winnipeg, who had come east during her father's illness and remained at home;
Miss Marion, Roslyn, Long Island, N.Y.; Miss Elsie of the teaching staff of the
Moncton High School, and Miss Alice Crickard, on the staff of the Royal Victoria
Hospital, Montreal. His wife predeceased him 11 years ago.
Mr. Crickard was the eldest surviving member of St. George
Lodge, No.12 F. & A.M. Masonic service will be held at his funeral, final
arrangements for which had not been completed tonight.
